Super Sweet Summer

Lindsey has created some super sweet summer watermelon cards using watermelon2stamp and Sweet Statement Set.

Good morning!  I'm here today to share with you some cards featuring one of my favorite things about summer - watermelon!  I love it, and it turns out I love creating with watermelons just as much as I love eating it. :) In fact, I had so much fun creating with the cutest watermelon stamps and dies from The Stamps of Life that I've got projects to share with you not just today but through the rest of the week.  So let's get started!

I was immediately drawn to the size and script of the die in the Sweet Statement Set.  Obviously this set could be used for countless occasions and styles, but I decided to fully and unabashedly embrace the watermelon theme on my card. 

A little glitter cardstock, some simple embossing, and a few die cut seeds made for a quick but fun card. 

Since not a whole lot of stamping was involved in the creation of my first card, I decided to go the opposite route for my second.

Using the melon portion from The Stamps of Life's Watermelon2Stamp and the patterned rinds from the Patterns4Watermelon set, I created a simple stamped background using a variety of pinks and greens.

Not wanting to cover up any of those fun watermelons, I simply finished the card off with the layered sentiment dies in the Watermelon Die Set.

The Stamps of Life stamps and dies were so easy and fun to use. I can't wait to share the rest of my projects with you, there are more to come!

Watercoloring with Katherine

Hello friends,

Today we are bringing you a fun watercolor project by design team member Katherine!

Katherine used the exclusive stamps and dies from the Dream Big Online Class. This class/kit is available as a recorded event. Read all about it HERE

Here's a great shot of the finished project!

Katherine used the mini ink pads to lay down some in on a craft mat. You can also use plastic from packaging, wax paper, parchment paper, or clear acetate sheets are our favorite!

When watercoloring make sure you are using the Black Archival Ink Pad. This is a pigment ink and will not run when water is added like the dye ink will.

Pick up the ink using TSOL water brushes and color in the image.

We like to suggest to do a light color wash of the area and then come back with same color and add around the edges to darken in some areas. If you let the image dry and then add more water color  you'll get a different effect, so try that too.

Add some simple embellishments and place on a card base to finish off the project. Coloring is super relaxing and we hope you give it a try!

Pinwheel Card

You are AMAZING my friends and so is this card! Here's a run down of all the products used by guest designer Maryann Maldonado!

The first thing you can't look past is the beautiful patterned papers from our LOVELY PAPER PAD!

The pinwheel is made up of the Sizzix Banner/Pennant Framelit dies

In the center of the triangle is a beautiful flower from Flowers the WOW!

Banner and Sentiment from doublebanner2stamp This set includes a variety of sentiments that can be combined to make 8-9 different greetings!

Add a few epoxy dots for embellishments and you're all set!

Cake in Every Flavor

Hello My Friends, 

One of our favorite dies that we released this month was the Cake Fold-it! It's such a fun shape to decorate in any flavor cake your heart desires!

Here's a round up of some of our favorite samples by our design team! 

We love this sample, straight from the Sizzix packaging,g because the layers are popped up off the card base giving it some great dimension.  Nothing says the Stamps of Life like a hot pink cake!

This card would be so sweet for a little girl. Lots of flowers and sweet details!

Don't count the candles on this great primary colored cake! Complete with a sentiment thats wrapped around one of the layers.

We loved this idea when we first saw it! The Cake Fold-it makes a lovely wedding card for any happy couple!

Glittery Greatness

Hello Friends!

@craftingwithKatherine created this adorable A2 Half Fold Card and matching envelope set! Let's take a look at how she did it and the amazing TSOL products she used that you may not even know we have!

Katherine started out with the A2 Half Card Panel as her card base. The Heart and "you" is included with this set as well as 7 other dies with shadows you can use as options.

Not only did Katherine use the exclusive colored cardstock from TSOL (Did you know it's all smooth), she also used our amazing Glitter Cardstock. This is the best quality glitter cardstock, it's heavy weight and the glitter never flakes off ! And yes, you can die cut the tiniest and most detailed dies, like the "you" here!

Here's a peek at how she decorated the inside! Ribbon, patterned paper and Sparkle die are all from the June Card Kit! If you aren't a Club Member Please check out how to sign up HERE! You will LOVE getting quality, color coordinated cardstock, patterned papers and embellishments every month! (you also get an exclusive stamp sentiment set and sentiment die cut)

Because the Glitter Cardstock is thicker, the paper picked up the heart shaped drop out (poke hole) and added an embossed effect to the glitter heart! This would be a good time to mention to not forget to add your adhesive sheets to the little items like "you" and "sparkle". You'll save yourself a lot of hassle!

Last Katherine created this wonderful matching envelope to go with her card. Using the water brushes and ink pads she added a watercolor wash over a white envelope! Just that would have really stepped up her card but, we love how she finished it off with the border, heart postage stamp and address label!
